Matrix Fight Night 7: Shyamanand to fight Abhishek Negi in a Featherweight bout

Matrix Fight Night has announced the showdown between Shyamanand and Abhishek Negi for Matrix Fight Night 7. The featherweight bout between the two fighters was initially supposed to be held at Matrix Fight Night 6 but was eventually moved to MFN 7.

Both Abhishek and Shyamanand had been engaged in to and fro battles on social media for quite some time. Shyam, who trains out of Indian Combat Sports Academy in Bangalore, made his Matrix Fight Night debut at Matrix Fight Night 4 against Sanjeet Budhwar. Sanjeet secured the win in the fight via a first-round TKO and the fans have been eagerly waiting to see the return of Shyam ever since.

Abhishek, meanwhile, has been on a dominant run in the domestic MMA Circuit. Training out of Mutant MMA Academy in Dehradun under fellow MFN fighter Angad Bisht, Abhishek has been undefeated so far in his professional MMA career. He will be looking to make the most of the opportunity at MFN 7 and cement his spot on the roster when he fights Shyam at MFN 7.

Where and when will Matrix Fight Night 7 happen?

Matrix Fight Night 7 will happen on December 10, 2021. The event will be held at the Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad, Telangana, and will be having 10 fights on the card. The event will be sanctioned by the All India Mixed Martial Arts Association (AIMMAA) and GAMMAF.
