Rajith Chandran is all set to make his MMA return at Matrix Fight Night 4. The Kerala-based star will be locking horns with Anshul Jubli in an exciting Lightweight contest at the event that is bound to produce fireworks in Dubai.

Returning after a long-gap of two-years, Rajith has been grinding it out at SFC Crossfit in Kozhikode for the past three months in preparation for this fight and noted that he was away from the sport due to some personal commitments and his job in the police department.

Rajith Chandran: It’s after 2 years that I’m making my return. Some family problems and you know, as I’m working in the police department, it's difficult to make time for training and all. But this time around, it's almost like 3 months that I’m training and preparing myself for this fight. And I’m very confident.

Rajith’s last outing in the cage came back in Super Fight League where he defeated Lionel Mascarenhas and produced a memorable comeback victory against Amit Kumar prior to that. With an undefeated record of 2-0 to his name at the moment, he will be matching up against Anshul Jubli who took out two SFL veterans in his last two fights.

While Rajith admits that Anshul is a big challenge, he is confident of getting the better of his counterpart at MFN 4.

Rajith Chandran: I have watched his fights. He is good fighter; he got some good ground game too. Well, I’m all set for the fight whether it is in the ground or in stand-up.

Rajith, however, has not thought beyond Anshul as of now. But he is open to taking fights in the future with anyone that crosses paths with him.

Rajith Chandran: All I have planned is to just get into to the cage and Fight that's it. This is going to be a great fight and actually I have not yet thought of my next fight, first let me do this and in future I’m ready to fight anyone

Rajith vs. Anshul will be one of the seven fights announced for Matrix Fight Night 4 which will be headlined by the showdown between Jason Ramesh Solomon and Pawan Maan. The event will take place in Dubai on February 28.
