MMA India bags the most proactive federation award at IMMAF 2020 Awards

MMA India has bagged the most proactive federation award at the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) 2020 Awards. The announcement was made during the Virtual Award Ceremony hosted by IMMAF.

MMA India has been actively organizing events and seminars across the nation over the past year and is expected to send team India for the upcoming IMMAF Junior World Championships as well. The MMA India team even had a viewing party for the event the photo of which was shared by the IMMAF on their official Twitter handle.

“There's a #IMMAFAwards2020 viewing party taking place in India, who under President Sharif Bapu, has just collected the Most Proactive Federation award Raising hands Flag of India,” the Tweet noted.

The prestigious black-tie event celebrated the achievements across amateur Mixed Martial Arts of IMMAF athletes, coaches, officials, and National Federations during the period spanning November 2019 to October 2020. Voting for members had closed on 4 December.

Elsewhere, Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation went home with the Host Federation of the Year award when the best Junior athlete of the year award when to Muhammad Mokaev. Michelle Montague claimed both the Performance of the Year award and the Best Female Athlete Award. You can check out the complete list of award winners on the IMMAF website.
