Leverage X scheduled to happen on 1st May 2021 in New Delhi

The Leverage Fight Night team has announced the updated date for Leverage X. The event which was supposed to happen on 17 April 2021 will now happen on 1 May 2021 in New Delhi.

"Leverage X is now being held on 1^st of May in New Delhi. We’ve had to push it by a fortnight due to venue difficulties. But we’re all set and ready to go for the 1^st of May. We will be releasing the bracket this coming week,” the team noted on their official Instagram page.

The grapplers competing in the tournament and the format are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. The Leverage team had hosted Leverage Fight Night IX back in back in December 2020.

The 16-main grappling tournament was under submission-only single-elimination EBI rules and saw Aman Gussain of Warrior’s COVE MMA emerging as the winner.

Aman made quick work of his Warrior’s Cove MMA teammate Peeyush Pandey in the finals via an inside heel hook and concluded his run which saw him pick wins over Prashanth Kota, Debojit Dasgupta, and teammate Raajus Dewan. With the win, he took home the cash prize of Rs. 1 Lakh and the title belt.

Leverage X is expected to be bigger than its predecessor and there will be a cash prize of 1.5 Lakh rupees up for grabs as well.
