BRAVE CF Super Lightweight contender Leonardo ‘’Macarrao’’ Mafra is hoping to have an even better end of 2020. A few days after announcing the birth of his daughter Bella, he publicly called out reigning divisional champion Eldar Eldarov for a fight through his social media profiles.
Leonardo used a video from his post-fight interview after his latest win, which took place at BRAVE CF 25, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Mafra had already pointed out that he would like to test himself against Eldarov in the video and followed up with a respectful call-out of the Bahraini champion.
‘’My goal is and has always been to be the BRAVE CF Super Lightweight champion, even when the weight-class was just an idea. I always asked for it to be created and now that I’m in it, I want the belt! Just like I said in my post-fight interview, all respect but Eldar you can wait for me, I’ll be back soon…as soon as they call me’’, said Mafra.
Leonardo is a veteran of mixed martial arts and has recently expressed his delight at finding a home at BRAVE CF, the only international promotion to have a Super Lightweight division (until 165lbs, between Welterweight and Lightweight).
He dominated Djamil Chan in his last fight, which took place at Super Lightweight, and feels ready to shock the world and become the new BRAVE CF world champion after signing a long-term deal with the organization earlier this year.
