UFC Welterweight Belal Muhammed feels that he is the only one that can beat Khamzat Chimaev. Belal noted the same in his interview with MMA Junkie recently and noted that Khamzat can beat everybody in the Welterweight division except him.
“A guy that could beat everybody in the division, except for me!. He was always human to me, that’s why I wanted that fight. I think he’s still a great fighter. He’s undefeated and still super young. I think people just put him as this robot, this Marvel character that he’s just going to touch you and they fall. We all bleed, we’re all human beings. They put him at so high that now that he didn’t walk through the #2 in the world, he sucks,” Belal said in the interview.
Khamzat Chimaev had a tough time against Gilbert Burns recently at UFC 273. The Swede picked up a unanimous decision win at the event and has landed to third position in the UFC Welterweight rankings. Speaking further, Belal noted that it would have been interesting to see the result if the fight between Khamzat and Burns happened at five rounds.
“It would’ve been interesting. It was a back-and-forth war. My take on it was who was going to gas out first? Who was going to have more in the tank? In that third round they were both tired, but fighting out of big heart, so it would’ve been interesting to see what would’ve happened with two more rounds,” he said.
Belal picked up another impressive win this past weekend at UFC Vegas 51 when he outclassed Vicente Luque in the main event.
