Khamzat Chimaev has been a force to reckon with in the UFC. He is undefeated in his professional MMA career at the moment and though he is expected to make his return at Welterweight, there have been talks about Khamzat fighting at Middleweight.

One interesting showdown for Khamzat at Middleweight is the fight against Champion Israel Adesanya. Adesanya has not tasted defeat in Middleweight and many feel that Khamzat could change this.

Former UFC Champion Henry Cejudo also feels that Khamzat could be the one to stop Adesanya.

“The guy that will stop (Adesanya) is actually a (170) pounder, and his name is Khamzat Chimaev. I believe Chimaev is just a whole other animal, dude. His wrestling, his confidence. I mean, this dude – from what I’ve heard from a lot of people, this dude literally trains like nobody has ever seen before. When you’re a wrestler, and you’re like that, and he’s driven, I don’t think there’s nobody on the planet … I can see him easily beating Israel Adesanya,” Cejudo said (H/T MMA Junkie)

Cejudo also went on to add that Khamzat Chimaev has Khabib Nurmagomedov like control inside the cage.

“This is the reason why: Because he can take him down, and he has that Khabib (Nurmagomedov) control,” he said.
