Joanna Jedrzejczyk is aiming to make her return to the UFC in 2022 and the former champion wants a rematch with Zhang Weili.
Joanna locked horns with Zhang Weili in an all-out war back in March 2020 with Weili taking home a split decision victory. After this ‘Fight of the Year’ outing, Joanna took time out from the competition and is now eager to get back into the octagon.
“Everyone thinks I’m not in the UFC anymore. I am, I just dropped out of the ranking, because I haven’t fought for a dozen or so months, but I’m coming back and fighting [the No. 1 contender]. It will probably be Zhang Weili,” Jedrzejczyk said (h/t Sport.pl).

Joanna currently holds a professional MMA record of 16-4 to her name and interestingly suffered all four of these losses in her last six fights. Joanna suffered two losses against Rose Namajunas and one each against Valentina Shevchenko and Zhang Weili. In between these, she secured wins over Michelle Waterson and Tecia Torres.
Zhang Weili, on the other hand, is sitting on two back-to-back losses to Rose Namajunas and will be looking to bounce back. She currently holds a record of 21-3 to her name and has only lost to Namajunas in the UFC.
