Jarred Brooks made a statement last day at ONE: Only the Brave. The Monkey God secured a huge decision win over Hiroba Minowa at the event and improved his winning streak to two in ONE Championship.
Brooks authored a commanding performance across all three rounds, blasting Minowa with thunderous punching combinations while dominating the intense grappling exchanges. Minowa scored with a couple of flying knees late, but it wasn’t enough, as Brooks easily took home a unanimous decision.
After the win, Brooks called out Joshua Pacio and also noted that he is coming for the Flyweight division.
“I’m super prepared. Joshua Pacio, you better be ready, The Monkey God is coming. Daddy’s home. I’m ready man. Nobody can beat me in this division man, not Bokang, not you, I’m coming for the whole Flyweight division too baby,” Brooks said.
Pacio, meanwhile, reacted to the callout with a post on Instagram where he noted that the division belongs to him.
“They’ve Seen Nothing Yet. This is my Division,” Pacio wrote.
Pacio is currently riding high on a four-fight winning streak and holds a professional MMA record of 19-3 to his name. His last fight came against Yosuke Saruta back in 2021. Brooks, meanwhile, is 18-2 in his professional MMA career and is on a five-fight winning streak.
