Jarred Brooks has made his intentions clear. The promotional newcomer pulled off a huge upset in his debut when he stopped Team Lakay star Lito Adiwang. Now with a win over a top five opponent on his resume, Brook is looking for another big name before he fights for the title.

Speaking to ONE Championship recently, Brooks revealed that he is looking to fight Hiroba Minowa first before he fights for the title against Joshua Pacio.

“Minowa’s a good fight for me. He’s young. I think that would be a good test for me, fighting somebody that’s in the top four that’s compatible. We both beat Lito. We had the same opponent, and he beat Alex Silva too. He beat two of the top guys. I think that it’s only right that we do that first and then make that pretty boy [Joshua Pacio] look a little uglier,” Brooks said.

The ’Monkey God’ is currently 17-2 in his professional MMA career and is riding high on a three-fight winning streak. He has not lost in his last five fights as well. Brooks also warned the top strawweight in ONE Championship.

“I’m in the top three. I can do whatever I want. I feel like I’m free-range out here, man. So yeah, watch out, top five – anybody in this strawweight division. I feel like I’m a man on a mission. I’m seeing tunnel vision. I’m here for it, man,” Brooks noted.
