The much-awaited Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren showdown went down today at the Mercedez – Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The fight proved to be a short affair as Jake Paul managed to drop Askren in the first round itself with some solid combinations.
Jake started off with some body shots and landed a huge right hand to the head which dropped Askren, eventually forcing the referee to stop the fight although Askren was visibly unhappy with the stoppage.
Regis Prograis and Ivan Redkach had an interesting co-main event. Prograis was in the driving seat for the most part of the fight and ended up getting a decision victory as well. Steve Cunningham and Frank Mir went the complete distance of six rounds and saw Cunningham picking up a win via decision with the scores of 60-54, 60-54, and 58-56.
In the opening bout of the card, Joe Fournier got the better of Reykon and secured a win via second-round TKO.
