Indian MMA star Asha Roka is all set to make her ONE Championship return in January 2020. Asha is scheduled to fight Gina Iniong of Team Lakay in an MMA contest at ONE: Fire & Fury on January 31 in Manila, Philippines.
The Indian fighter last fought back in August 2019 against Two-Sport World Champion Stamp Fairtex and had suffered a defeat via near-naked choke in the third round. It was the first defeat in the MMA career of Asha and she would be eager to bounce back from the same.
Meanwhile, Gina Iniong is coming off a split decision win against Jihin Radzuan. Gina faced off against Jihin back in February 2019 and has not fought since. As for the Team Lakay star, she would want to build up on the momentum and start off 2020 with a bang.
The MMA fans in India will have more reasons to cheer in January 2020 as Puja Tomar will also be in action at ONE Championship: A New Tomorrow on January 10 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok. Puja will be going up against Stamp Fairtex at the event with the possibility of the winner getting a title shot soon.
As for ONE: Fire and Fury, the fight card will be headlined by a Strawweight Championship fight between Joshua Pacio of the Philippines and Alex Silva of Brazil. The card will also have the likes of Eduard Folayang, Danny Kingad and Petchdam PetchyindeeAcademy in action.
Folayang will be going up against Ahmed Mujtaba of Pakistan. Mujtaba, who was recently scheduled to fight Indian MMA fighter Rahul Raju was forced to withdraw from the fight due to visa issues. He, however, has been rescheduled for Fire and Fury by ONE championship.
Danny Kingad will be in action against Xie Wei while Petchdam PetchyindeeAcademy will lock horns with Momotaro in a Muay-Thai contest.
