Hiroba Minowa will make his ONE Championship return at ONE: Only the Brave when he fights Jarred Brooks in a potential title eliminator. The Japanese MMA star currently holds a professional MMA record of 13-2 to his name and is riding high on a six-fight winning streak at the moment.

Brooks, on the other hand, made an impressive promotional debut in ONE Championship recently when he outclassed Lito Adiwang. Despite the strong showing from Brooks, Minowa feels that he can submit Brooks.

“There are several ways, but I think I’ll win by ippon (submission) in the third round. I think I’ll win by split decision, even if I have a tough time. If there is some luck involved, I may win by KO. I may be able to win by ippon in the first round,” Minowa said.

He further went on to add that the winner of the fight should get a shot at Joshua Pacio.

“I think the winner deserves to fight Pacio. If we’re talking about the title, we’re the challengers,” Minowa added.

When asked about the strength and weaknesses of Brooks, Minowa had the following to say.

“His strengths are his wrestling and his body control. His finishing power in his victory over Adiwang is amazing. Also, his takedown ability is great. That was my first impression,” he added.
