GAMMA India will be hosting the Open National Championship in Bangalore from 23 March 2021 to 26 March 2021. The event, which will serve as the National Team Selection for the GAMMA Asian Championship which is scheduled to happen in Issyk Kul, Kyrgyzstan in July 2021.
Earlier, the details about the registration process were revealed and now, the team has revealed the event schedule and weight categories.

“IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL PARTICIPATING TEAMS/FIGHTERS/COACHES. Please ensure that we report for our necessary duties and follow the attached Event schedule so that the event can progress in a timely and organized manner.
Also please ensure that you/your teammates are aware of the weight categories so that you can plan your weight cuts accordingly. Please note that there are no allowances and the weights mentioned in the attached are the maximum permissible weight.
ALSO PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS MANDATORY TO PRODUCE A RT-PCR REPORT (NO MORE THAN 72 HOURS) AS PART OF THE REGISTRATION PROCESS,”
The registration processes will be carried out on 23 March 2021 and slots will be assigned to athletes and coaches in order to follow social distancing.
This will be followed by Medical examinations and fights on 24 March, 25 March, and 26 March with the semi-finals and the finals happening on 26 March 2021. You can see the schedule and weight categories above.

GAMMA India had a strong showing at the GAMMA World Championship last year and secured seven medals. The team will be looking to continue the good run in the Asian Championship as well after the selection.
