Indian Boxer Faizan Anwar defeats JR Mendoza at Rotunda Rumble IV in Dubai

Top-ranked Indian boxer Faizan Anwar kept his undefeated record intact as he secured a win against JR Mendoza of the Philippines at Rotunda Rumble IV in Dubai.

Faizan, who came into the bout with a record of 4-0 to his name with all wins coming via stoppages, had a dominant performance throughout the bout. He was picking apart Mendoza from the start itself and faced little resistance from his counterpart. Faizan came close to finishing the bout at various points across the six rounds but Mendoza showed a lot of resilience to keep himself in the fight.

In the end, the fight was ruled in favor of Faizan via a unanimous decision which in turn improved his record to 5-0. The 19-year-old who hails from Kolkata is the top-ranked Super-Welterweight in India and is ranked at an impressive position of 335 in the world according to BoxRec which is expected to improve after the win.

The card was promoted by D4G Promotions in association with Round 10 Boxing and MTK Global and was broadcasted in the US on ESPN + and worldwide on IFL TV. The event was headlined by the showdown between Viktor Kotochigov and Maxi Hughes.
