Drex Zamboanga gets first round KO win over Rahul Raju at ONE: Full Circle

Filipino MMA star Drex Zamboanga secured a spectacular first-round KO win over India’s Rahul Raju at ONE: Full Circle today.

Rahul started the fight on a strong note by attempting a couple of takedowns. He was able to push Drex to the cage as well with his persistence but during one of the exchanges near the cage side, Drex manage to catch Rahul with a huge punch which dropped the Indian.

With the win, Drex is now on a three-fight winning streak. He had earlier defeated Detchadin and Seung Hyun Choi in his last two fights with both coming via stoppages. The Filipino also improved his record to 9-5 with the win.

As for Rahul Raju, he slipped to 8-7 in his professional MMA career. He was coming into the fight on the back of a win against Otgonbaatar Nergui. Prior to this, Rahul was on a two-fight slow run having lost to Ahmed Mujtaba and Amir Khan.

ONE: Full Circle was headlined by the ONE Middleweight title fight between champion Reinier De Ridder and ONE Welterweight champion Kiamrian Abbasov. The event also had the much-awaited trilogy bout between Aung La N Sang and Vitaly Bigdash.
