Diego Lima criticizes Khabib Nurmagomedov for being hypocritical

Charles Oliveira’s coach Diego Lima is not apparently happy with the recent comments from Khabib Nurmagomedov. The former UFC Champion, in a recent interview, expressed how Islam Makhachev can beat Charles Oliveira and this has not sat well with the Chute Box Head Coach.

Speaking to Sherdog, Lima noted that Khabib is someone that did not like trash talking but is doing exactly the same for Makhachev.

"Khabib was always recognized as an example of someone who doesn't talk, but makes and also for hating trash talkers. Now he is doing exactly what he criticized about McGregor. If he is so sure that Makhachev will beat Charles, why [doesn’t he] send a 'double contract' guaranteeing he would face Charles in case of Islam's loss?,” he said.

A long list of comments has been floating recently on the Internet about how Charles Oliveira could be the kryptonite for Islam Makhachev and Khabib.

Oliveira holds a record of 33-8 to his name and has not lost a fight since 2018. The Brazilian is on an 11-fight winning streak at the moment and secured wins over Tony Ferguson, Kevin Lee, Michael Chandler, Dustin Poirier, and Justin Gaethje during this run.

As per reports, he is expected to fight Islam Makhachev next for the vacant UFC Lightweight title which Oliveira was forced to drop after missing weight in his last title fight. Makhachev, on the other hand, is 22-1 in his professional MMA career. He is on a 10-fight winning streak at the moment and defeated Bobby Green in his last fight.
