During the recent episode of his ‘Weighing In’ podcast, former UFC referee John McCarthy noted that UFC President Dana White ‘stole everything’ from WWE CEO Vince McMahon.

McCarthy, who is currently working with Bellator MMA, noted that Dana took the persona of Vince and was reacting to Dana White’s recent comments about the potential Francis Ngannou vs. Ciryl Gane fight about which Dana said ‘Vince McMahon couldn’t have written better.

Ciryl Gane was crowned the UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion recently after his win over Derrick Lewis and a fight against his former teammate and UFC Heavyweight Champion Ngannou seems imminent.

“Dana needs to bow down to Vince [McMahon] because he stole everything from Vince. He stole his persona, he stole exactly how he runs his company, all of that. So to sit there and say that Vince couldn’t have written this better, ok, well he taught you exactly what to do and you’re the one that kind of tried to build this together by creating this fake title for a guy that shouldn’t be the champion based upon you have a real champion sitting there,” McCarthy said (H/T givemesport.com)

McCarthy was the senior-most referee in the UFC and was a key figure in drafting the Unified Rules for the Sport of MMA. He started his relationship with the UFC back at UFC 2 and was active till the year 2018.
