Club Fights Deccan Conquest II Results: Savio Michael and Vinod fight to a draw

Club Fights rolled out Club Fights: Deccan Conquest II on 24 January 2021 from the LBS boxing Arena in Hyderabad and saw Savio Michael and Vanteddu Vinod fighting to a draw in the main event.

Savio, who was coming into the bout on the back of an impressive highlight-reel knockout, was confident in his knockout power ahead of the showdown but was met with some stiff resistance from Vinod. After the fight, Vinod noted that a lot of people were underestimating him and said that he is ready to fight anyone that comes in front of him.

“It doesn’t matter who I fight next. I’m ready to fight anyone. Whether it’s Kundeti Raju or Savio Michael wants to come out again. Anyone that’s willing to fight, I’m ready. I’ve got the pen, send the contract,” he said.

The co-main event between Clinton David and Gudimalle Niraj also ended up being a draw when Trijot Singh Sardar went home with a decision victory over Madunala Jayanth. Nithin Mudiraj was also on the winning side with a dominant victory over Abhinay Kumar when the fight between Bangaram Sai Kumar and Mohd Zahed ended in favor of Sai kumar after Zahed dislocated his shoulder.

“I fought a dirty fighter. He hit me with a dozen, if not more, low blows, eventually damaging my shoulder,” Zahed said after the fight.

The event was promoted by Red Corner Sports Promotions and was supported by the likes of Unnayan Foundation, Sportrecs.com, RXN Sports and MMA India Show.
