Charles Oliveira is interested in a showdown with former UFC Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Oliveira called out the Russian MMA superstar in a recent interview and noted that he will beat Islam Makhachev first.
“I’ll beat Islam Makhachev and then challenge Khabib to come back from retirement. It’s the fight everyone will want to see. Isn’t that what everyone will want to see? Everyone says Khabib is f*cking tough. I respect him a lot, but lately, he’s been talking too much,” Oliveira said (h/t via MMA Junkie).
Oliveira currently holds a professional MMA record of 33-8 to his name and is on an 11-fight winning streak at the moment which dates back to 2018. His last loss in the UFC came against Paul Felder back in 2017 and prior to that, he had suffered losses to Ricardo Lamas and Anthony Pettis as well.

Khabib, on the other hand, retired with a perfect professional MMA record of 29-0 to his name and was the reigning UFC Lightweight champion when he stepped away from the sport. After his retirement, Khabib has been busy being a promoter and a coach.
Khabib was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame recently and has been calling for a title shot for Islam Makhachev. Makhachev, interestingly, is on a 10-fight winning streak in the UFC and has put forward his case for a potential title fight with Charles Oliveira.
