Phil Hawes has his eyes on the Middleweight title ahead of Brave CF 30

Press Release
22 November 2019

Middleweight wrestler Phil Hawes isn't concerned with setting lofty ambitions for his tenure with BRAVE Combat Federation.

A recent signing of the promotion, "Zilla" is ready to make waves in his new home as he prepares for his debut with the fastest-growing promotion in the world. Hawes will take on Dominic Schober in the co-main event of BRAVE CF 30, this Saturday, in Hyderabad, India, and is hoping a win can catapult him to the top of the growing division.

On December 7th, at BRAVE CF 31, in South Africa, Chad Hanekom faces off Daniel Gaucho in the inaugural world title bout at Middleweight, and Hawes feels a win over Schober puts him in line to be the first challenger to the coveted belt.

"I mean, I'm not here to do whatever, I came to BRAVE CF to be a world champion, like I always felt I am. I'm only focused on Saturday, but I'm going to knock this guy out and will call out whoever will be the champion. Chad, Daniel, it doesn't matter. I'm coming for that belt, and no one can stop me", says a confident Hawes.

BRAVE CF 30 takes place at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, in Hyderabad, India, and marks the third time BRAVE Combat Federation has hosted an event in the country.

The show will be headlined by Bantamweight world champion Stephen Loman's fourth consecutive title defense against top contender Louie Sanoudakis, plus a host of fighters from India coming up against international stars.
