One of the biggest MMA teams in the world, CM System had an unforgettable year in 2019 at BRAVE Combat Federation. The Brazilian-based squad formed two new world champions throughout the year and were named the Team of the Year for 2019, according to the panellists at the BRAVE Insider Podcast.

Team leader and MMA legend Cristiano Marcello was also honoured as Coach of the Year. The BRAVE CF fighter has yet to make his debut as he's busy overseeing the training of his stars such as Middleweight world champion Daniel "Gaucho", former world Lightweight champion Luan "Miau" Santiago, Lightweight veteran Felipe Silva and Featherweight standout Gabriel "Fly" Miranda, but is hoping to make his comeback at some point in 2020.

It is the second year in a row that both CM System and Cristiano Marcello receive the BRAVE CF Awards, which show the consistency in the success they have found under BRAVE Combat Federation, with the likes of Gabriel "Fly" also looking to make a splash in 2020 and go on a run for the Featherweight title.

The new year will also give a chance for Luan "Miau" Santiago to regain his championship status. After winning the title in 2019, he was surprised by arch-rival Cleiton "Predator" and ended up submitted, losing his belt in quick fashion. He has since bounced back with a victory over Gadzhimusa Gaziev and will hope to battle Cleiton again soon.
