Bobby Lashley says that he is a better MMA fighter than Brock Lesnar

WWE’s Royal Rumble is in the books and the show saw Bobby Lashley picking up a victory against Brock Lesnar. While the showdown between Lashley and Lesnar at the professional wrestling stage has captured the attention of fans, many are still wondering how it will go down if these two fight in an MMA fight.

Speaking at the MMA Hour, Bobby Lashley broke down the possibility and said that he is a better MMA fighter than Lesnar.

“Without trying to disrespect him, I don’t know what he’s capable of doing as far as skill-wise. I mean, I taught boxing, I taught jiu-jitsu at my gym, and what I tried to do was I ran with Strikeforce there for a while, and then I had a little hiccup where I took some smaller fights and when I did those smaller fights, what I was doing was sharpening my ax, that’s what I used to say. I was really learning my boxing, really taking some time to get some jiu-jitsu in there, sharpening my wrestling skills. So I turned into somewhat of a student of the game. So as far as a skill for skill and knowledge for knowledge, I think that I have a lot more than he does in it,” Lashley said (h/t MMA Fighting).

Lesnar was quite successful during his MMA run and is a former UFC champion. He currently holds a professional MMA record of 5-3 to his name.

Lashley, meanwhile, is 15-2 in his MMA career with most of his fights coming in Bellator MMA. Lashley started his MMA career back in 2008 and is currently on an eight-fight winning streak with his last fight coming back in 2016 when Lesnar last fought in 2016 as well.
