BTS and MMA: MMA Fighter Ji Yeon Seo talks about her cousin and leader RM

BTS has been making waves all around the world for quite some time now and thanks to Ji Yeon Seo, the Korean band has a connection with the MMA world as well.

Ji Yeon Seo who has been featured in the ONE Warrior Series and Korean promotions like Double G and Top FC is the cousin of BTS Leader RM. The MMA star recently appeared on a show called Sporty Sisters and was quizzed about her cousin who is known around the world.

“We are second cousins. From time to time during holidays we see each other. He’s family that I’ve seen ever since I was little, but since he became such a big star, it was hard to approach him first and try to be close. He still cheered me on telling me to train hard. I purposely didn’t talk about this in fear of insulting BTS fans, but I’m proud that I have a cousin who is famous all around the world, she said. (H/T AsianMMA.com)

BTS has been a worldwide sensation for a long time now having debuted back in 2013. The group has sold more than 20 million albums with Map of the Soul being their best seller with more than 4.5 million copies being sold.

As for Ji Yeon Seo, she made her MMA debut back in 2017 January at Top FC and currently holds a professional record of 9-4 to her name. She has fought three times in the ONE Warrior Series having picked up two wins and one loss. Her last fight came in the ONE Warrior Series as well when she fought Rocel Catalan and picked up a win.
