BRAVE Combat Federation has officially announced the return of Abdisalam Kubanychbek for a second run at the coveted Interim Lightweight World Championship title against Kazakhstan’s Olzhas Eskaraev at BRAVE CF 59 in Bukhara, Uzbekistan.
Kubanychbek has been adminant about becoming the next BRAVE CF Lightweight World champion since he secured the number one contender spot at BRAVE CF 47 slatting him to face the winner of Ayoub vs Amir. However, the Lightweight division has been anything but uneventful since the dethroning of former champion Amin Ayoub by current Lightweight world champion Ahmed Amir resulted in the latter stepping away from the cage and into recovery.
The unpredictability of the sport led Kubanychbek to face another former BRAVE CF Lightweight World champion, Cleiton Silva, at BRAVE CF 57 in an Interim Lightweight World Championship bout. The bout ended in the first round after shots to the back of the head ruled the fight a no contest.
