Indian MMA star Mohammed Farhad is all set to make his return at BRAVE CF 57 this weekend. One of the most lethal finishers in the country, Farhad has been a mainstay in BRAVE Combat Federation since the inception of the promotion back in September 2016.

BRAVE CF 1: First-Ever TKO in BRAVE Combat Federation History

The first outing in BRAVE CF for Farhad came at BRAVE CF 1 when he fought Badr-Eddine. The Indian came into the fight on the back of a four-fight winning streak and had a dominant performance. He finished Badr-Eddine in the second round via a TKO and registered the first-ever TKO in the history of BRAVE Combat Federation.

The 40 second Knockout at BRAVE CF 5

A year after his triumph at BRAVE CF 1, Farhad returned for BRAVE CF 5 in 2017. BRAVE CF 5 was held in Mumbai and Farhad produced one of the most memorable performances of his career when he knocked out fellow Indian Irfan Khan in just 40 seconds. This was the fastest knockout in BRAVE Combat Federation at that point of time.

The setback against Hamza Kooheji

After his two impressive stoppage wins in BRAVE Combat Federation, Farhad went up against Bahrain’s Hamza Kooheji at BRAVE CF 9 in 2017. The event happened in Bahrain and the grappling skills of Kooheji proved to be the major difference in the match as he managed to edge out Farhad in the scorecard of the judges after three-rounds. This was the first loss for Farhad in BRAVE CF and it also snapped his six-fight winning streak.

The Comeback and KO of the Year Contender

Two years after his loss to Hamza Kooheji, Farhad made his return to BRAVE Combat Federation in 2019 at BRAVE CF 30. BRAVE CF 30 was held in Hyderabad and Farhad was scheduled to fight undefeated Indian fighter Rana Rudra Pratap Singh at the event. However, after a last-minute opponent change, Farhad locked horns with Kushal Vyas, who came in with a record of 10-4.

Farhad made quick-work of Kushal in the showdown and stopped the fight with a vicious leg kick in the first round to move to 3-1 in the promotion and secure his third stoppage win in BRAVE CF.

It took Farhad two more years to fight again in BRAVE CF. In 2021, he returned to action at BRAVE CF 47 in a much-awaited India vs. Pakistan showdown against Uloomi Karim of Pakistan. Uloomi had a record of 7-5 heading into the fight and was considered to be a huge challenge for the Indian.

Once again, much to the shock of his critics, Farhad produced a wonderful performance which saw him knockout Uloomi Karim in the second round. The highlight reel KO from Farhad also earned him a KO of the Year Nomination at the BRAVE CF 2021 awards.

The future

With a record of 4-1 to his name in BRAVE CF and 12-3 to his name in Professional MMA, Farhad has established himself as one of the top MMA fighters in India. He will be going up against undefeated Egyptian Maysara Mohamed at BRAVE CF 57 and will have the opportunity to push his case for the Bantamweight title fight if he wins.
