Former two-division champion Aung La N Sang suffered a loss against Vitaly Bigdash recently at ONE: Full Circle.

Though he came into the fight on the back of a knockout win against Leandro Ataides, the loss that Aung La suffered against Bigdash was his third in the last four fights. Prior to this, he had also lost back-to-back fights against Reinier De Ridder which cost him the Middleweight and Light Heavyweight titles.

With Aung La standing at crossroads in his career, what is next for the Burmese Python? Here are three names that could fight him next.

Yushin Okami

Japanese icon Yushin Okami and Aung La N Sang traded some words on social media recently and had agreed to fight each other in the promotion. ONE Championship Chairman Chatri Sityodtong, however, ruled out this possibility but now would be a good time to reconsider the situation.

Okami currently holds a professional MMA record of 36-14 to his name and is coming off a win against Agilan Thani at ONE: Century. He had suffered losses to Kiamrian Abbasov and James Nakashima prior to that.

Fan Rong

Fan Rong has been part of the ONE Middleweight division for quite some time now. He has already locked horns with the likes of Reinier De Ridder and Vitaly Bigdash. HE is currently 2-2 in ONE Championship and holds a professional record of 14-3 to his name.

Just like Aung La, Fan Rong is coming off a loss against Vitaly Bigdash and it would be interesting to see what will happen when Aung La and Fan Rong lock horns.

Yuri Simoes

While this fight does not make sense from a match-making process, considering that ONE Championship has already matched Yuri Simoes with someone like Fan Rong, it wouldn’t be a surprise if we get to see Aung La N Sang fight, Simoes.

Simoes is a well-established grappler and is currently 0-2 in his professional MMA career and ONE Championship. However, what makes the match interesting is the storyline of Aung La N Sang struggling against grapplers.
