Former ONE Championship double champion Aung La N Sang could be on his way back to the ONE Championship circle. The Burmese Python teased his return on his social media page last day and revealed that fight news might be dropping in early 2022.

“Just like that, we are back!. Fight News coming soon for early 2022,” Aung La N Sang noted on his social media pages.

The former champion had been campaigning for a fight with Yushin Okami recently but Okami already has a fight booked as he will be going up against Leandro Ataides at ONE: Heavy Hitters on January 14, 2022. Ataides is coming off a KO loss against Aung La N Sang as well which further makes matters interesting.

Currently sitting on his win over Ataides, Aung La suffered two back-to-back defeats prior to this against Reinier De Ridder. As a result of the losses, he lost the ONE Middleweight title and the ONE Light Heavyweight Title.

Though the opponent of Aung La is not confirmed yet, there are some possible names that could be in the front line. A trilogy fight with Reinier De Ridder could also be a possibility considering that no one has stepped up to fight De Ridder.

Another possible opponent for Aung La would be Vitaly Bigdash against whom the Burmese Python has already fought twice. In the first outing, it was Vitaly that secured the win but Aung La leveled the scores in the second outing to make it 1-1.
