An atom weight bout between Asha Roka and Alyse Anderson is set to happen at ONE X. The reveal was made during the ONE Championship press conference in Japan where a string of other bouts was also revealed including the showdown between Itsuki Hirata and Jihin Radzuan.
Asha Roka, who currently holds a professional MMA record of 4-2 to her name is coming off two losses. She made her ONE Championship debut back in 2019 when she went up against Stamp Fairtex. The fight ended in favor of Stamp via third-round submission.
Roka made her return to ONE Championship after this in 2020 when she fought Gina Iniong. Roka and Iniong went the complete distance and the judges ruled the fight in favor of Iniong which handed the Indian her second loss in the promotion and her MMA career.
She will be looking to bounce back strongly from these setbacks at ONE X when she goes up against Alyse Anderson.
Anderson, on the other hand, is coming off a loss of her own as well. She lost to Itsuki Hirata in the ONE Atomweight Grand Prix back in 2021 and this was her promotional debut as well. The American holds a record of 5-2 to her name and have fought in Invicta FC and TWC prior to her switch to ONE Championship.
At the press conference, ONE Championship also revealed that Itsuki Hirata will make her return against Jihin Radzuan while Mei Yamaguchi will fight with BJJ standout Danielle Kelly in a submission grappling contest.
ONE X will happen on 26 March 2022 in Singapore and will be headlined by the ONE Atomweight Championship fight between Stamp Fairtex and Angela Lee. The event will also have the special rules showdown between Demetrious Johnson and Rodtang.
