5th MMA India Nationals: Full List of Gold Medal Winners from the event

MMA India Federation hosted the 5^th MMA India Nationals from 19 May 2022 to 22 May 2022 in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh. The event, which was hosted by the Sports Association of Mixed Martial Arts Madhya Pradesh and Fight of Knights saw more than 290 athletes in action from across India.

The event kickstarted on 19 May 2022 with the registrations, an opening ceremony, and an exhibition bout between Sonam and Aarya Choudhary. Action resumed on the second day with bouts in the senior categories commencing across two cages when the Youth and Junior categories kickstarted on the third day as well. The national champions in the youth category were also crowned on Day 3.

On the last day, the finals of the senior and junior categories took place when a selected number of finals happened at the Rajendra Prasad Stadium in Neemuch along with the Fight of Knights (FOK) event.

FOK featured a crowd of more than 20 thousand and had the presence of a long list of celebrities including former WWE champion The Great Khali, former Bigg Boss contestant Claudia Ciesla, and Singer Jasleen Mathura among others.

The event also witnessed one of the fastest knockouts in Indian MMA history when Abdul Aziz of Telangana knocked his opponent out in one second on Day 2. IMMAF Bronze Medallist Vridhi Kumari continued her dominance in the domestic scene by clinching another gold when former IMMAF Junior World Champion Mahboob Khan had a similar outing which saw him pick up the gold.

Team Telangana went home with the overall title with the greatest number of medals when Tamil Nadu came in second. Hosts Madhya Pradesh finished third in the standings.
