Walker Stops Zhang in Second Round at UFC Fight Night Shanghai

UFC Fight Night: Walker vs. Zhang delivered a thrilling night of action Saturday at a sold-out Shanghai Indoor Stadium, where Johnny Walker silenced the home crowd with a second-round stoppage of China’s Zhang Mingyang.

In his first UFC main event, Zhang started strong in the opening round, trading heavy shots with Walker. But early in the second, Walker landed a low kick that dropped Zhang instantly. The Brazilian veteran swarmed with punches, forcing the referee to step in at 2:37 of Round 2.

The co-main event featured a tactical striking battle between featherweight greats Brian Ortega and Aljamain Sterling. Sterling controlled the bout with sharp footwork and consistent pressure, earning a unanimous decision win on all three scorecards (50-45).

Chinese Fighters Shine at UFC Shanghai

The home crowd roared as four of seven Chinese athletes picked up victories. Sumudaerji scored his second consecutive win by out-striking Kevin Borjas. UFC newcomer Taiyilake overcame a two-point penalty for an illegal knee, then finished Kiefer Crosbie by first-round TKO. Rongzhu defeated Austin Hubbard by unanimous decision in a fast-paced three-round bout, while Yi Zha electrified the arena with a 37-second knockout of Westin Wilson.
