UFC Vegas 92 Results: Lerone Murphy gets decision win over Edson Barboza

UFC FIGHT NIGHT: BARBOZA vs. MURPHY aired live in Asia on Sunday, May 19, from UFC APEX in Las Vegas. The event featured several notable victories, including Lerone Murphy maintaining his undefeated record, Khaos Williams and Adrian Yanez adding knockouts to their resumes, Angela Hill securing a win in her 25th UFC appearance, and China's Alatengheili bouncing back with a victory.

In a thrilling featherweight bout, #12 ranked Edson Barboza and the undefeated Lerone Murphy went the distance in a five-round battle. Murphy, despite taking a significant upkick in the first round, delivered over 100 significant strikes against Barboza. Although he couldn't finish the veteran fighter, Murphy's performance earned him a unanimous decision victory. Post-fight, Murphy stated:

"I deserve recognition now. I've beaten the best of the best and shown my worth. I'm changing my name back to 'The Iceman' because there's nothing miraculous about this. I'm meant to be here. It's destiny. I'm going to be the champion."

The co-main event featured a clash between rising welterweights Khaos Williams and Carlston Harris. The fight started with both fighters exchanging hard punches, but it was Williams who secured a knockout just one and a half minutes into the match. Williams commented:

"I don't like to talk too much before the fight. I said I wanted to take his soul, and that's what I did. I'm here, I'm healthy, I'm young, I'm in my prime. I want all the smoke. Don't be sleeping on me. It's not personal, it's just punishment."
