Yanal Ashmoz made a statement in his UFC debut when he brutally knocked out Sam Patterson at UFC 286.
Ashmoz didn't let a six-inch height gap stop him from delivering one of the most amazing knockouts at UFC 286 in London on Saturday in his maiden outing in the octagon. As the 6-foot-3 lightweight slumped back to the canvas, Ashmoz tripped Patterson up early and then struck him with a big left hand to the head. Patterson soon fell asleep during the subsequent ground-and-pound.
After seven victories, Ashmoz is still unbeaten and has won all but one of his fights via knockout or submission.
Patterson made his UFC debut at this event. His professional record now stands at 10-2-1 after the most recent Contender Series, and he suffers his first defeat since November 2017.

Following the altercation, a confused Patterson was seen shoving with authorities who were attempting to calm the scene on television. He appeared to be oblivious that the fight had ended. Patterson once tangled up with the official, Marc Goddard.
