Stamp Fairtex got the win, but she wants more. The former three-sport ONE World Champion earned a split-decision victory Selina Flores in the atomweight Muay Thai main event of ONE Fight Night 47 this past Saturday.
Two of the three judges sided with the Thai megastar, but the manner of the victory left her with mixed emotions.
"I believe in myself that I won this fight. But I was just disappointed in myself, that it's not three judges, just two judges [split decision]. So I'm happy but still disappointed," she said.
The result extends Stamp's 66-18 striking record and keeps her momentum building after a turbulent stretch that included a serious knee injury, a lengthy rehabilitation, and the relinquishment of the ONE Atomweight MMA World Title she had claimed in 2023.
The Thai superstar, the one and only fighter in ONE Championship history to hold World Titles across Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA, has heard enough. She is ready to go back to MMA, and she already has a preferred opponent in mind.
"It is still the plan. I think the next fight I want to fight in MMA. I can fight anyone, but I think it's Chihiro [Sawada]. Chihiro, she is very good. So it might be a good fight if I fight with her," she explained.
Sawada carries a four-fight winning streak and only one promotional loss on her record, making her exactly the kind of credible test that would strengthen Stamp's credentials heading into a title shot conversation.
But the Thai legend is casting her net even wider, responding to comments from reigning ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues, who has also expressed interest in making the move to MMA.
"I just want to say welcome to the MMA world, and yeah, someday we will fight soon. Maybe in MMA, or Muay Thai again. So anyway, I can fight with her under any [rule set]. I will ask for two fights for MMA, and then I will ask for [a shot at] the belt," she added.
