Indian Fighter Priyanka Lakireddy Makes History with Title Win at Patong Boxing

Indian fighter Priyanka Lakireddy etched her name into the annals of Muay Thai history with a groundbreaking victory at the Patong Boxing Stadium in Thailand last night. Priyanka, competing in the 115 lbs category, clinched the title belt after a hard-fought battle against her Thai opponent, Petch Siam, emerging victorious with a Unanimous Decision. In doing so, she became the first Indian female fighter to ever capture the prestigious title belt.

Priyanka's journey into the world of martial arts traces back to her childhood, where she first delved into the realm of Karate. Over the years, she honed her skills in Karate before transitioning to Muay Thai and Kickboxing, signaling the beginning of her transformation into a formidable professional fighter with a stellar international portfolio.

Among her accolades in the sport of Muay Thai, Priyanka was crowned the IMO World Champion in 2022 in Indonesia and secured the title of IMO National Champion in 2021 in Tamil Nadu. In addition, she solidified her status as a top-tier Muay Thai fighter by attaining the title of WMC Unbeaten Pro Fighter in 2021 in Karnataka. Priyanka boasts an impressive record in Pro Muay Thai, boasting a flawless 5-0 record, including three knockout victories.
