Polyana Viana, born on June 14, 1992, is a prominent Brazilian mixed martial artist renowned for her prowess in the Strawweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Hailing from São Geraldo do Araguaia, a quaint town in the Pará region of Brazil, Viana was raised by her mother. She embarked on her journey in Brazilian jiu-jitsu in 2013, marking the beginning of her foray into the world of combat sports. Shortly after, in late 2013, she made her professional mixed martial arts debut, showcasing her innate talent and determination.

Viana's career trajectory has been punctuated by notable bouts, including her clash against Gillian Robertson at UFC 297 on January 20, 2024. Despite her valiant efforts, Viana faced defeat via technical knockout in the second round, a setback she has undoubtedly used as fuel for her continued growth and development in the sport.

Beyond her achievements inside the Octagon, Viana's resilience and courage have garnered widespread admiration. In January 2019, she found herself in a harrowing situation when a man attempted to rob her using a fake gun as she waited outside her apartment. In a display of remarkable bravery, Viana swiftly responded by delivering a powerful punch to subdue the assailant until law enforcement arrived. Her quick thinking and decisive actions ultimately led to the apprehension of the perpetrator.
