Masaaki Noiri, former ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion, faces Iranian powerhouse Mohammad Siasarani in the ONE SAMURAI Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix semifinals at ONE SAMURAI 4 on Saturday, October 17, live from Tokyo, Japan, with a shot at reigning ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon waiting for the last man standing.

Noiri punched his ticket to the semifinals in emphatic fashion. The former K-1 Champion settled unfinished business with China’s Liu Mengyang in the quarterfinals. He avenged a previous loss with a stunning knockout in under three minutes that served as a timely reminder to the entire featherweight division that his best years are far from behind him.
But Noiri is not resting on that performance. If anything, it has raised the bar he is setting for himself.
“I made a pretty strong impact last time, and I have to top that impact because I really hate staying stagnant. I want people to look at me and go, ‘Whoa, Noiri’s still evolving, even at this age,’” he said.
Standing across from him is a challenger who has made a similarly emphatic statement in the tournament. Siasarani, 24, trains out of Venum Training Camp and Team Mehdi Zatout and carries a 29-13 career record and a 10-2 ONE slate into the semifinals, riding a six-fight winning streak.
His quarterfinal dispatch of Japanese sensation Kaito via head kick knockout in under 90 seconds was one of the tournament’s most astonishing finishes, and Noiri has a deep respect for the Iranian’s cerebral approach to combat.
“Siasarani’s fighting style is just really skillful. I get the impression he’s always fighting with his head, thinking things through,” he explained.
Despite having previously challenged Superbon in a title unification fight in 2025, Noiri is keeping that potential rematch firmly out of his headspace for now.
“I’m honestly not thinking about it that much. It’s a tournament format right now. It’s one event, one fight at a time. My next fight is Siasarani, and that’s really all I’m thinking about. I just need to properly get past Siasarani,” he added.
