At the ancient Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, where ONE Championship has now concluded 12 straight weekly events, jaw-dropping abilities were once again on show.
On April 7, ONE Friday Fights 12 began with two mixed martial arts fights before moving on to 10 Muay Thai matches, six of which were knockouts.
Petsukumvit Boi Bangna wins main event
With yet another impressive performance against Kongthoranee Sor Sommai in the featured match, Petsukumvit Boi Bangna improved to 3-0 in the ONE Championship.
In their flyweight Muay Thai match, the Thai star dictated the pace with his Rodtang-like forward pressure, leaving little to no room for his opponent to advance and score any big blows.
The representative of An Sukhumvit entered the pocket behind his piercing kicks, relying on his striking strength and knees to the body to regularly put his opponent into reverse.
Although though Kongthoranee did manage to land a number of counter-elbows, Petsukumvit easily handled them and launched further strikes to put the icing on the cake.
The 24-year-overall old's record increased to 63-26 with the unanimous decision victory, and he continued to advance in the flyweight Muay Thai division.
Co Main Event results
In the evening's penultimate fight, Petlampun Muadablampang and Sunvo Tded99 engaged in a three-round battle that saw the former prevail on all three scorecards.
Over nine minutes of 130-pound catchweight Muay Thai battle, both Thai strikers remained unrelenting, each having their own highlights.
To achieve the 46th victory of his professional career, Petlampun outplayed Sunvo for the most of the match and made excellent use of his combinations.
With a knockout victory in his ONE Championship debut last month, the 26-year-old improved to 2-0, and his most recent performance reinforced this.
Other results from the card
Even though Dentungtong Singha Mawynn was wearing sunglasses as he entered the ring for his flyweight Muay Thai match, nothing could dim the spotlight his ONE debut would bring.
Mohawk Ngorbangkapi, the accomplished Rajadamnern Stadium World Champion, was preparing to enter the organisation with a flourish when the Singha Mawynn official met him.
However, with only a minute or so left in round two, Dentungtong landed a seven-punch combination on Mohawk. At 1:56 in the second frame, the onslaught on his fellow Thai striker knocked him out, forcing the referee to call time on the fight.
The 21-year-record old's now stands at 72-16-2 after the triumph, which formally heralded his entry.
Zeta Chor Chokamnuay made his ONE debut by knocking out Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Chalawan Ngorbangkapi in the opening round.
In their 124-pound catchweight Muay Thai match, the 23-year-old entered as the clear underdog. Yet after almost two minutes, Zeta smacked Chalawan in the jaw with a left hook, causing him to stagger to the side.
Chalawan was knocked out before touching the canvas by the Chor Chokamnuay representative's right head kick, which ricocheted off Chalawan and sent him flying in the opposite way.
At 1:55 in the first round, the referee stopped the fight, and Zeta left the ring having triumphed 108 times overall.
