Super Lightweight Mahmoud Sebie Impresses with Third BRAVE CF Victory, Securing First Submission Win of His Pro Career
BRAVE CF 71, which took place in Bahrain last Monday, June 19, showcased numerous stars, and Mahmoud Sebie stood out as one of them. Sebie, the first Olympian in BRAVE CF history, delivered yet another dominant performance, this time finishing his opponent by submission.
Ahead of the fight, BRAVE CF president Mohammed Shahid had praised Sebie, recognizing his potential to lead the next generation of Arab fighters. Shahid even suggested that Sebie could propel Arabs MMA into mainstream showbiz if he desired.
During the event, Sebie demonstrated his versatility by unveiling a new facet of his MMA game—his proficiency in submissions. Engaging in a brief scramble with Oussema Zeidi, Sebie swiftly took Zeidi's back and secured a tight rear-naked choke, forcing the Tunisian fighter to tap.
The aftermath of the fight revealed the true power of Sebie's ground and pound, as Zeidi sported a significant hematoma.
"No one was going to defeat me on the eve of my birthday. I've trained too hard and made too many sacrifices for this. Sorry, but no one is beating me, that's just the way it is," declared Sebie. He also seized the opportunity to call out Joilton Lutterbach once again, expressing his affection for him while asserting his dominance inside the cage.
"Joilton, my 'bro,' I love you. I hope you make weight so you don't have to cut your hair. But in this cage, it's only me!"
