BRAVE CF 82: How Eliezer Kubanza opened doors for DR Congo MMA fighters

BRAVE Combat Federation's unwavering dedication to cultivating MMA talent in Africa is set to reach new heights with the upcoming BRAVE CF 82 event in Mauritius on May 11.

Since its inception in 2016, BRAVE CF remains the sole international MMA organization to have hosted events on African soil, showcasing athletes from 12 African nations under its banner.

The global platform provided by BRAVE CF has propelled the growth of MMA across Africa, with athletes like Eliezer Kubanza emerging as shining examples of success. Hailing from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo), Kubanza's stellar performance in 2023, which included two first-round finishes in BRAVE Combat Federation, not only elevated him onto the global stage but also transformed him into an MMA superstar back home. The images of celebrations in DR Congo following his victories went viral, and Kubanza was honored by the Minister of Sports of DR Congo for his achievements on the world's largest MMA platform.

Kubanza's triumph has opened doors for more Congolese fighters to enter the MMA arena.

At BRAVE CF 82, two promising fighters from DR Congo, Ananias Mulumba and Prince Lolia, will make their debuts. Kubanza played a pivotal role in securing spots on the fight card for his fellow countrymen, persistently advocating to the BRAVE CF matchmakers.

The inclusion of Lolia and Mulumba in BRAVE CF 82 underscores the rising talent from DR Congo and signals a significant milestone for MMA in Africa. Mulumba boasts a professional record of six wins and one loss, riding a six-fight winning streak, all victories secured via finishes. He previously held the Lightweight championship in a regional promotion.
