Come August 12, Bogota, Colombia, will be the stage for the 73rd global event of BRAVE Combat Federation. Within the BRAVE CF cage, 18 athletes hailing from nine nations will convene to vie for glory within the realm of the most globally renowned MMA promotion.
A historic occasion, BRAVE CF 73, is set to become an integral part of the BRAVE Pan-American Combat Week, an endeavor that transforms the entire week into Colombia's grandest combat sports spectacle. True to its ethos of positive impact, BRAVE Combat Federation continued its legacy today, as three of its luminaries graced the Carlos Arango Velez High School in Bogota.
United States' own Jose "Shorty" Torres, Colombia's hometown favorite Eduardo Mora, and Peru's pride Edgar Torres understand the significance of global support. Today, they embraced their roles as givers, engaging in various activities with the school's students and imparting their wisdom to over 120 children.
The Carlos Arango Velez High School places considerable emphasis on combat sports training, housing programs like Taekwondo and Judo to instill discipline and guide youngsters through their daily lives. Jose, Eduardo, and Edgar contributed by conducting a lecture, a gesture wholeheartedly welcomed by educators and learners alike, who found themselves captivated by these international luminaries.
With the monumental BRAVE CF 73 on the horizon, Jose Torres stands at the threshold of the most crucial fight in his career, set to contest the vacant BRAVE CF Bantamweight Championship against South Africa's Nkosi Ndebele in the main event.
Equally significant, Eduardo Mora prepares for an essential battle, squaring off against Trinidad and Tobago's Keron Bourne in a pivotal Bantamweight bout, aiming to reverse his recent tough streak. As for Edgar, he strives to make his mentor, Jose, proud as he embarks on his debut in the BRAVE CF cage, slated for the undercard presented by the Latin Fighter Championship. His challenge comes in the form of Colombia's own Carlos Toro in a Flyweight encounter.
