First Indian UFC Fighter Bharat Kandare eager to make his MMA Return

In an exclusive interview with LockerRoom India, the first Indian UFC fighter, Bharat Kandare, opened up about his journey, his aspirations, and his unwavering determination to make a triumphant return to the world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Following his participation in the Warrior Hunt reality show, Kandare shares how he's rekindled his fighting spirit and is now more prepared than ever to step back into the spotlight.

After a brief hiatus post the Warrior Hunt reality show, Bharat Kandare didn't let his passion wane. The fighter, who had made history by becoming the first Indian to step into the UFC Octagon, is back in action. With a newfound commitment to his training, he relocated to Pondicherry, where he assembled a dedicated team to help him prepare for his comeback.

"I moved to Pondicherry and got a good team to train with. I've been working hard, and now I can confidently say that I'm ready," Kandare states with conviction. His training regimen, coupled with an unyielding spirit, speaks volumes about his eagerness to step back onto the world stage.

At 34 years of age, Kandare acknowledges that he's in a unique phase of his career. While some fighters might consider this an advanced age, he sees it as an opportunity. "I have many more years left in MMA. I'm committed to completing fights and making a mark in the sport," he explains. This perspective demonstrates his determination to make the most of his time in the sport he loves.

Kandare's confidence and optimism shine through when he talks about his goals. "I'm looking for opportunities to fight, and I'm open to signing with organizations like ONE Championship, Bellator, and MFN. If the UFC gives me another chance, I'll gladly step up to the challenge," he expresses. Despite recognizing the challenges of fighting in the UFC, Kandare is undeterred. He's resolute about proving his mettle on any stage, displaying his skills and dedication to fans both in India and around the world.

While the UFC might not be an immediate possibility, Kandare is adamant about his readiness to compete on other platforms. He's determined to prove himself and show that age is just a number. His passion for the sport and his commitment to excellence remain unwavering.
