Alexa Grasso will beat Valentina Shevchenko in trilogy fight, says Araujo

Speaking on MMA Fighting's Trocação Franca podcast, Viviane Araujo expressed her expectations for the flyweight division's future, particularly regarding a potential trilogy fight between Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko. Reflecting on the division's progression, Araujo humorously remarked, "I think it’s probably going to happen, a trilogy between the two next, which I didn’t want. I wanted the division to move [on] a little bit."

Acknowledging Grasso's formidable skill set, Araujo praised the current champion's growth and consistency in the Octagon. She emphasized, "Alexa is a very solid athlete who has grown a lot as of late. From what I can see from the girls at the top, I believe she will continue with the belt."

The highly anticipated UFC Fight Night event, dubbed Grasso vs. Shevchenko 2, unfolded on September 16, 2023, at the renowned T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
