Henry Cejudo announced his retirement recently and surprised the UFC fans. But anyone who follows the sport will understand that it was probably a negotiation tactic from the two-division champion and that he could return to UFC soon. He has been giving hints about this as well.
In the absence of Cejudo, UFC has crowned two new champions. Petr Yan won the UFC Bantamweight title in the absence of Cejudo and Deiveson Figueiredo won the UFC Flyweight title.
Both are interesting matchups for Cejudo but since he has already achieved the titles, he is likely to look for a big-money fight. Cejudo could have a showdown with Jose Aldo or could wait out till Petr Yan becomes a bigger name. He also teased a move to Featherweight division. While it might not happen, Cejudo at Featherweight will be an interesting prospect. Cejudo going to ONE Championship and having his trilogy fight with Demetrious Johnson is another possibility. But this is very unlikely due to many reasons.
