UFC returned to pay-per-view with UFC 252 today and the event saw Stipe Miocic retain the UFC Heavyweight title after getting a unanimous decision win over Daniel Cormier. Below are the complete post-fight quotes from the event.

Stipe Miocic:

“(Cormier) an amazing fighter, that’s why he does what he does, that’s why he’s won so many titles and beat so many good guys. I’m going home, I’ve got the belt. It’s my birthday on the 19th, Modelos for days.”

Daniel Cormier:

“Being on the losing end is a sad position to be in, but I will deal with it. I'm not interested in fighting for anything but a title, and I don't feel there is another title fight ahead. That will be it for me.”

Marlon Vera:

“I try personally to be a high-level black belt, a high-level wrestler and a high-level striker. Joe Rogan has the best advice, don’t read comments, don’t read negativity. I feed myself with positivity, my family, my friends. I’ve said this before the fight, I’ll say this right now, I’m in good spirits, I’m a person that works hard for me, for my family, for my country and when you work the way I work, your dreams come true.”

Merab Dvalishvili

“This is already big for me, I feel this energy. A lot of people, a lot of young kids also, look up to me and they dream about UFC and I’m happy that I can show them that if you guys work, you can be like me. I’m just beginning, I’m just starting, I can do a lot more.”

Daniel Pineda

“It feels good, it feels really good, especially being the underdog... I just had to stay calm and I did my thing. I made a big statement, for all them haters out there too. He’s a good fighter, I think he’s going to make it somewhere, I’m just going to be a little more on top now.”

Jairzinho Rozenstruik

“I go right away to throw hands with him, I know it’s a fifty-fifty fight, we are powerful guys, it’s heavyweight, if we get caught, it’s going to be done. I know I’m a dangerous guy in the division. Everybody ranked above me right now: I’m fighting.”
