Tony Ferguson is the type of guy that will make weight for a cancelled fight.

Although UFC has postponed Ferguson’s scheduled fight with Justin Gaethje indefinitely, the UFC Lightweight went ahead and made weight just like he would have done if the fight was still on.

Ferguson made championship weight of 155 Pounds last day and shared the picture of the same with Ariel Helwani who then shared it on Twitter.

UFC 249 was initially scheduled to feature the main event between Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC Lightweight title. However, Khabib got stuck in Russia due to the Coronavirus lockdown and UFC decided to put together a new main event between Ferguson and Justin Gaethje.

The promotion was then forced to completely postpone the event after receiving orders from broadcast partners ESPN.

There is, however, good news for the MMA fans as UFC is apparently planning to be back on Television from May 9. The shows are expected to be produced from the UFC APEX Facility as per reports. As per reports, the promotion has also lined up some exciting fights for the return including the one between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje for the Interim Lightweight Championship.
