TAMMA successfully hosts 8th Telangana State Open MMA Championship

TAMMA (Telangana Association of Mixed Martial Arts) successfully hosted the 8^th Telangana State Open MMA championship this past weekend in the Hyderabad Indoor Stadium. The event, which was hosted by International Fighting Club (IFC) was sanctioned by MMA India and was spearheaded by India Team coach Shaik Khalid.

More than 90 athletes were in action at the event which also saw a string of special guests with the most notable name being the Sports Minister of Telangana State, Sri Srinivasa Goud. Apart from the minister, the event also had the presence of the following dignitaries.

• Former Central Minister at Delhi Sri Venugopal Chary
• Mr. Universe, Mr. World, Asia's bodybuilding champion Sri Mir Mohtashim Ali Khan
• International Karate Champion Smt Syeda Falak
• International Table Tennis Champion Smt Naina Jaiswal
• Miss Physic of Telangana State Smt Keerthi Chenna
• Principal of Springfield Schools Smt Humaira Hyder

The event also served as selection trials for the Bangalore Open MMA championship organized by MMA India between December 16 and December 20.
