Sam Patterson has his eyes on the BRAVE CF Lightweight title and Amin Ayoub

Englishman Sam Patterson is gearing up for the biggest fight of his career as he takes on Ylies Djiroun at BRAVE CF 51: The Future Is Here, set for June 4th, in Minsk, Belarus. The lanky Lightweight will have the opportunity to edge closer to a title shot against reigning titleholder Amin Ayoub.

‘’Fierceness’’ Ayoub just so happens to be a teammate and personal friend of Djiroun’s and has recently said Patterson will succumb to Ylies, and that his compatriot will do ‘’something dirty’’ to Sam. The Team Crossface representative seemed unfazed when speaking about Amin’s trash talk.

‘’My name is in his (Amin Ayoub's) mouth. He’s talking about me, I’m not talking about the champ, he’s talking about me. And we’ll keep it like that, we’ll let him talk. He might be friends with Ylies, he can big up his friend, he can have his own opinion on the fight. But at the end of the day, he’s talking about me. Be the one spoken about, not the one talking’’, said Patterson during a Live Instagram session with BRAVE CF commentator Phil Campbell.

‘’The Future’’ is currently riding a two-fight win streak and is confident of adding to that. Not even Djiroun’s experience seems to affect Patterson, who chooses to always focus on himself rather than on his opponents.

‘’I don’t really watch too much tape on my opponents. I watch little clips, to see what they bring to the table and then I focus on me. I believe if I show up and do what I do, no matter who’s on the dotted line, they’re going to get beaten’’.

BRAVE CF 51: The Future Is Here will be headlined by a Lightweight match-up of epic proportions, as former world champion Lucas Martins takes on Germany’s number one fighter Marcel Grabinski. Aside from Djiroun vs Patterson, other monumental match-ups are expected to feature in BRAVE CF’s debut card in Belarus, such as Muhammad Mokaev’s return against Ibragim Navruzov and Roman Bogatov taking on Abdulmutalip Gairbekov in a pivotal Featherweight match-up. BRAVE CF 51 takes place in association with Rukh Sport Management.
