Roman Reigns and Conor McGregor are two names that are popular in their own spheres. McGregor is hands down one of the most popular MMA fighters out there and the way in which he brought eyeballs to the sport of MMA was unprecedented as well.
Roman Reigns, on the other hand, has been a force to be reckoned with in the WWE. He is almost the new face of WWE and has been on the top for a long time now.
Though the worlds of professional wrestling and MMA are intertwined, it is not every day that you see two superstars from the two worlds locking horns on social media. This is exactly what happened when Roman Reigns decided to shut out Conor McGregor a few years back on Twitter.
Conor, who is known for his outrageous tweets, noted that he would slap the head off all the WWE superstars out there.
“I didn’t mean no disrespect to the @wwe fans. What I meant to say was that I’d slap the head off your entire roster. And twice on Sunday’s,” he said.
The comment, as one can expect, did not sit well with Roman Reigns, who immediately fired back with a comment of his own.
“Your the size of my leg. Shut up,” Roman Reigns tweeted.
This resulted in an avalanche of tweets from WWE and AEW wrestlers with the likes of Chris Jericho and Big E getting into the mix with their own comments.
“Sorry pal no disrespect to u, but my fights are legit, unlike the fixed fights u have in @UFC. I’ll embarrass u,” said Chris Jericho on Twitter.
Big E took a sarcastic path to clap back to the two-division UFC Champion.
“Would you prefer to find us individually or have us all line up at once? I know your time is valuable, sir,” he tweeted.
