BRAVE Combat Federation is all set to return with BRAVE CF 35 which will see Mohammad Fakhreddine and Enrico Cortese lock horns in the main event. The event, which will happen on July 20 in Bucharest, Romania will be the first event from BRAVE CF after the COVID-19 Pandemic outbreak.
Road to the Fight: Mohammad Fakhreddine
Mohammad Fakhreddine will be looking to bounce back from the defeat that he suffered against Azamat Murzakanov in the Open Weight Tournament at BRAVE CF 29. Fakhreddine suffered this defeat in the finals of the tournament after securing a win over Kleber Silva in the semi-finals which happened on the same night.
Prior to the tournament, Fakhreddine was sitting soundly on a two-fight winning streak with both coming via stoppages.
Road to the Fight: Enrico Cortese
Enrico Cortese comes to the main event on the back of a five-fight winning streak. He had made his BRAVE Combat Federation entry last November in India at BRAVE CF 30 when he secured a decision win over Jorick Montagnac. Prior to this, he secured four stoppage wins in 2019 as well.
Finish Rates of the fighters
An interesting factor about the fight will be the finish rates of both fighters. Both are highly decorated strikers.
Out of the 18 fights that Fakhreddine has had over his career, only two fights have gone the distance while all the others ended in stoppages. Cortese, meanwhile, has only seen one out of his nine fights go the distance.
In other words, out of the combined 27 fights between these two, only three fights have gone the distance.
Considering the stats, it is unlikely that the fight between these two will go the distance.
Middleweight Title Implications
The winner of this fight could be next in line for a shot at the BRAVE CF Middleweight title. The title currently resides with Daniel Gaucho and he would be keeping a close eye on the fight considering the title implications.
